tarot

a small rite for two — your name, this night, three cards, all on your side.

This deck isn't here to test you or grade you — it's in your corner. Speak your name to it and it answers the same way every single time: no cold reading, no fishing your face, no fortune sold. The cards don't foretell the future; they hold a warm light up to what you already carry and stay beside you while you look. All of the arithmetic is shown, and nothing here leaves this page. Whatever you find is yours — and what you do with it is the only future in the room.

what are you carrying tonight? — one tap, no need to type a word

put it in your own words — optional; it only seasons the shuffle
the deck reshuffles at midnight. within one day, it will not change its mind.
your past readings — every reading, quietly kept for you
the ledger — what is real, and what is lore
    • documented tesla, in his own 1919 autobiography: "all repeated acts or operations I performed had to be divisible by three… if I missed I felt impelled to do it all over again, even if it took hours." he counted his steps and computed the cubic contents of his meals.
    • documented he lived and died in room 3327 of the hotel new yorker — 3 327 = 3 × 1109.
    • documented the mathematics here is real: digit sums preserve remainders mod 9, doubling cycles through 1-2-4-8-7-5 forever, and 3, 6, 9 keep to their own closed circle — 3 and 6 trading places, 9 returning only to itself. it is a property of writing numbers in base ten.
    • documented reading fixed cards from a birthdate with no shuffle at all is a real tarot tradition — mary k. greer's and angeles arrien's birth-card constellations, published in the 1980s.
    • disputed the eighteen napkins, the hotel rooms divisible by three, the three laps around the block — later biographies, no primary source. plausible shadows of the documented compulsion.
    • myth "if you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6 and 9…" — tesla never said it. the quote first appears on blogs around 2009 and went viral on tiktok in 2020.
    • myth "vortex math" as cosmic law — marko rodin, 1980s, retro-fitted onto tesla. the diagram is honest arithmetic; the free-energy claims are not.
    • documented reading the three cards together is the golden dawn's own method — elemental dignities, book t, 1888: neighboring cards of friendly elements strengthen each other; fire and water, air and earth, weaken.
    • documented timing workings by the moon and the planetary hours is ancient — the chaldean order is why the days of the week are named in the order they are. timing tarot by the moon is a 20th-century practice. the moon phase shown here is real arithmetic, within half a day of the ephemeris.
    • documented frequency and resonance really were tesla's life's work — the tesla coil is a resonant transformer, and at colorado springs in 1899 he tried to tune the earth itself. doubling a frequency raises it exactly one octave; the 1-2-4-8 doubling cycle is the octave series. simple whole-number ratios (3:2, 4:3) sound consonant — real acoustics, known since pythagoras.
    • myth "the secret of the universe is energy, frequency and vibration" — tesla almost certainly never said it. the only source is one man's recollection decades later, and he was selling metaphysical trinkets at the time. same shaky lineage as the 3·6·9 quote.
    • myth "528 hz, the love frequency" and the solfeggio tones — invented in the 1970s, numerology dressed as healing science. it is a pretty tuning, nothing more. you can switch to it above; the page just won't lie about what it is.
    • myth that any of this predicts the future. it doesn't. what the cards do is make you say true things out loud.
